The short film, ‘Fugue,’ directed by Iranian filmmaker, Taha Khanjani, was picked for the official selection at the fifth edition of Courage Film Festival in Berlin, Germany, next January.
Asal Shams and Shayan Morad-Tajari play the leading roles in ‘Fugue,’ which also sees Khanjani as the editor in the ending credits, IRNA reported.
Khanjani is also the production designer of the short feature, with Danial Allah-Bakhshi as the cinematographer.
The Courage Film Festival looks for films that “spark discussions and debates and are advocates for positive change and development in the world,” read the festival’s official website.
“All themes are welcome, covering topics such as women, immigration, the environment, family, equality, mental health, disability, etc.”
