Iran’s envoy, OPEC head discuss oil market

Iran’s permanent representative to the Vienna-based international organizations Kazem Gharibabadi held talks with Secretary-General of OPEC Mohammed Barkindo on Monday evening and discussed oil market and bilateral ties.

In his tweeter account, Gharibabadi wrote, "I had a fruitful consultations today with #OPEC SG #HEBarkindo. We reviewed the latest developments on international oil market and OPEC," IRNA reported.

OPEC and its allies (OPEC+) recently decided to gradually increase production. The group predicted in April that demand for oil will increase in the world; therefore, OPEC decided to increase production by 2.1 million barrels per day between May and July.
