Iranian film "Gabriel" to go on screen at festivals in Greece, Turkey

The Iranian short film "Gabriel" has been accepted into International Alexandria Short Film Festival in Greece and the Sultanbeyli International Short Film Competition in Turkey.

The movie, directed by Yousef Kargar, will go on screen at the 7th Alexandria Short Film Festival in Greece to be held from July 1 to 4 in Alexandria, Greece, Iranpress.com reported on Monday.

Gabriel has also been picked for the Sultanbeyli International Short Film Competition in Turkey, which will be held in Istanbul on June 15th and 16th.

Gabriel is the story of a father who has to decide between love, faith and conscience in difficult situations.

Yousef Kargar, the director, was born in 1985 in the city of Urmia, est Azarbaijan Province in northwest of Iran.

He studied Persian Literature at university and is currently a MA student of Cinema.

Kargar has become a movie critic since 2002, and writes in many outlets and internet about cinema.
