Iran’s two-time Oscar winner filmmaker Asghar Farhadi’s latest feature film, ‘A Hero,’ will have its first international screening at the Main Competition section of the Cannes Film Festival at Grand Théâtre Lumière on July 13.

Its second and third screenings will be at IMAX Hall of the Cineum Cannes, 12 auditoriums multiplex, and Grand Théâtre Lumière on July 14.

On July 15 and 16, Screen X Hall of Cineum Cannes and Salle Du Soixantième will host Farhadi’s film, according to festival-cannes.com.

Farhadi’s film will totally have five screenings at the French festival.

Professional Iranian actors Amir Jadidi, Mohsen Tanabandeh, Nader Shahsavari, Fereshteh Sadre-Orafaee and Sarina Farhadi star in ‘A Hero’.

The 14-minute Iranian film, ‘Orthodontics,’ directed by Mohammadreza Mayqani, which will compete for the Palme d’Or for the best short film, will be screened on July 16 along with nine other films at the Théâtre Claude Debussy.

The film, ‘Hit the Road,’ directed by Panah Panahi, which is slated to be screened at the Directors’ Fortnight, will have two screenings on July 10 and one on July 16.

The 74th annual Cannes Film Festival will be opened with ‘Annette’ on July 6 in the French Riviera, with Nicolas Bedos’s ‘OSS 117: From Africa With Love,’ bringing the curtain down on the event on July 17.

Twenty-four movies will participate at the main competition of the festival, which was canceled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
