Iran, Tajikistan discuss expansion of ties

Iran’s new President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi discussed the expansion of Tehran-Dushanbe relations including trade cooperation with Mahmadtohir Zokirzoda, the chairman of Majlisi Namoyandagon (Assembly of Representatives) of Tajikistan.

He said the development of ties between Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan as three Farsi-speaking countries is of great importance.

Today's insecurity in Afghanistan, which is rooted in foreign interference, is of no benefit to anyone, said Raeisi, adding that Iran and Tajikistan should work more closely together to address this common concern, both bilaterally and internationally.
