The Iran Book and Literature House is participating at the 34th Moscow International Book Fair with over 200 books.
The official opening ceremony of the exhibition was held on Friday, ISNA wrote.
The Iranian pavilion is showcasing books on various topics such as Sacred Defense, arts, literature, Iranology, Persian language, poetry and literature.
During this edition of the exhibition, the Iran Book and Literature House is introducing the Grant Plan (a plan to support the translation and publication of the Iranian books on the world market), the publishing industry of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Tehran International Book Fair in the form of brochures and catalogues.
Meeting with the directors of the Russian book fair and with publishers, writers and exhibition organizers of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation are other programs of the Iran’s pavilion at the fair.
It is also planned to unveil one of the works of Mahshid Darabi (illustrator and member of the Iranian Illustrators Society) in this exhibition. The Dayereye Mina (Blue Circle) Literary Agency is also attending the fair to link publishers to sell copyrights.
The MIBF is organized by the Russian Book Union, a non-governmental and non-profit organization founded in 2001, which unites leading Russian publishers, book distributors, printers, representatives of cultural, scientific, educational and library communities, representatives of paper industry, including a number of writers’ organizations and associations, altogether over 1,500 entities of the book industry.
