Students are the Islamic Republic of Iran’s strategic assets whose training and education require special attention and endeavors, said the Iranian defense minister.
In an address to a ceremony in a school in Tehran to mark the beginning of the new Iranian academic year (normally starting on September 23) on Saturday, Brigadier General Mohammadreza Ashtiani added in the field of education, ignorance and science are two opposing issues, IRNA reported.
He emphasized that ignorance is primarily required to be eliminated and, then, appropriate science must be promoted.
The minister noted that Iranian students are the descendants of great men such as Martyr Mohsen Hojaji, who was beheaded by the Takfiri Daesh terrorist group in Syria in 2017, and Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, Iran’s top anti-terror commander who was assassinated in a US drone strike in Baghdad on January 3, 2020, saying they play a very important role in shaping the future of the country as the next generation.
Brigadier General Ashtiani stressed that Iran’s students are the generation who will be able to revive the Islamic civilization.
