Cultural commonalities deepen Iran-Turkey relations: Turkish official

Head of Iran-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Group Osman Nuri Gülaçar said that cultural commonalities between Iran and Turkey contribute to deepening of bilateral ties.

Gülaçar made the remarks on Sunday while paying a visit to Iran’s East Azarbaijan pavilion in the Van Eastern Anatolia International Travel and Tourism Fair, in eastern Turkey, IRNA wrote.

East Azerbaijan is participating in the event to introduce tourism capacities of Kaleybar and Maragheh.

Given the rich cultural and tourism potential of East Azarbaijan, the development of relations and providing the necessary facilities for the presence of Turkish tourists in this beautiful province will lead to the development of tourism and further relations between the two countries, the Turkish official said.

He expressed contentment over East Azarbaijan Province’s participation in the fair and urged expansion of ties and paving the way for Turkish tourists to be able to visit the province.

Gülaçar also said that the exchange of Iranian and Turkish visitors would contribute to further proximity of governments.

The Turkish event aims to bring an innovative understanding to tourism fairs with a new vision in Van and Eastern Anatolia, the heart of Turkish tourism.
