An Iranian flight carrying the fifth humanitarian aid devoted to the people of Afghanistan landed in Kabul airport on Tuesday.
The cargo was delivered to the officials of the Taliban caretaker government by Iran’s chargé d'affaires in Afghanistan.
The consignment contained food and hygienic materials donated by the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) to the Afghan Red Crescent officials to be distributed among people in need in the neighboring country, said a statement by Iran’s Embassy in Kabul.
The fourth batch of Iran’s aid to Afghanistan was transferred through ground border to ran’s eastern neighboring state on Monday, while three other cargoes were carried by plane, IRNA wrote.
Iran has always stood by the Afghan people’s side and have hosted millions of Afghan refugees for decades.
