President Raeisi expressed hope that expansion of consultation and cooperation between Tehran and Tokyo would lead, as before, to strengthening of bilateral relations and ensuring international and regional peace and stability.
The president also hoped that Kishida Fumio's appointment would open a new chapter in Tehran-Tokyo friendly ties, IRNA reported.
He assured that Iran-Japan cooperation would increase in all areas, particularly in trade and economy, as the two enjoy historical and friendly relations.
Policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been in line with reinforcement of international and regional peace and security along with justice and faithfulness to the international commitments and agreements, the president wrote.
Raeisi added that Tehran respects independent countries' national sovereignty and nations' rights.
Concluding his message, President Raeisi wished prosperity and success for the new Japanese premier and the Japanese people as well.
On October 4, Japanese lawmakers elected Kishida Fumio, 64, as the new prime minister of the East Asian country.
