Two members of Iran’s Foolad Sirjan were picked in the Dream Team at the Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship.

Iranian prodigy Saber Kazemi claimed the award for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the competition, while his teammate Mehdi Jelveh was named the joint-Best Middle Blocker, alongside Burevestnik Almaty’s Nodirkhan Kadirkhanov.

Kazemi contributed 28 to Foolad’s 3-1 victory over Qatar’s Al Arabi in the final showpiece in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, on Friday.

Foolad took the opening set 25-19 before Al Arabi bounced back with a 25-21 victory in the second set, but the Iranian club came out victorious in the next two sets 25-23 and 25-22 to bring the trophy to the country for fifth consecutive occasion.

The triumph also saw Foolad book a place at the FIVB Volleyball Club World Championships in December.

Also named in the team of the tournament were Vitaliy Vorivodin (Burevestnik Almaty) and Konstantin Cupkovic (Al Arabi) as the Best Outside Spikers.

Cupkovic’s teammates Felipe Bandero and Borislav Georgiev picked the awards for Best Opposite Spiker and Best Setter, respectively.

Nakhon Ratchasima QminC’s Tanapat Charoensu was awarded with the Best Libero trophy.
