Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi scored a hat-trick as Porto came from behind to beat Tondela 3-1 at the Primeira Liga on Saturday.
Neto Borges opened the account for the home side with four minutes into the game, before the Iranian international drew Porto level in the 20th minute, tapping in from close range.
Taremi, who delivered a Man-of-the-Match performance during Porto’s 1-0 Champions League victory over Milan on Tuesday, gave the Portuguese giant the lead right before the break.
The Iranian was first to the ball on the rebound after Tondela keeper Pedro Trigueira denied a Mateus Uribe’s free-kick.
Fábio Vieira’s pass found Taremi inside Tondela’s box before the Iranian’s left-footed effort went passed the keeper with 11 minutes from normal time.
The hat-trick – Taremi’s second during his time in the Portuguese league – saw the former Rio Ave player move atop the league’s top scorers’ chart with seven goals.
