Iranian director Abdollahi hopes to pass Florida festival

Iranian short film ‘Pass,’ written and directed by Elika Abdollahi, is slated to compete at the Central Florida Film Festival (CENFLO) in the United States.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Pass’ will participate at the 16th edition of the American event from January 21-23, 2022.

The film revolves around a poor woman and shows that not everyone is trustworthy, ifilmtv.com reported.

“I tried to say that not everyone is predictable, even those we have trust in," the director said of her film.

Mina Hamedani, Hessam Hosseini, Soheil Mirza, and Ebrahim Barzideh are among the cast of the film.

The Central Florida Film Festival “is about creating an environment for filmmakers to celebrate and enjoy each other's works, to have the opportunity to network across a fun-filled weekend, and to interact with audience members who are seeing their work for the very first time”, the festival’s website wrote.
