Iran’s ‘After the Incident’ awarded at Turkish festival

Iranian film ‘After the Incident’ won the Best Feature Length Award at the International Children’s Rights Film Festival in Izmir, Turkey.

Shahab Hosseini, Javad Ezzati and Bahram Afshari star in the film, wrote.

Directed by Pouria Heidary Oureh and produced by Shahab Hosseini, the all-star cast movie is about a child’s wish to score a goal against Esteqlal football team.

The film competed with 40 other films from the US, Germany, the Philippines, Denmark, India, Ireland, Spain, Canada, Russia, and Singapore among others.

The film has previously been screened at the YES Film Festival in Indiana, the US, the Castellinaria Film Festival Bellinzona in Switzerland, and Aporia International Village Film Festival in South Korea.

Some of the crew members include cinematographer Alireza Barazande, sound engineer Amir Torabi, editor Sara Ahani and set designer Babak Panahi.

The festival is organized annually to create awareness about children’s rights by the Children’s Rights Culture and Art Association.
