In a telephone conversation on Monday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed different topics, including the bilateral political and consular issues, Tasnim News Agency reported.
Commenting on the emphasis by Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi on the development of relations with neighbors, including the UAE, in different fields, Amir-Abdollahian stressed the need for continuous consultations between the two countries.
Describing as expanding bilateral relations with the UAE, Amir-Abdollahian said that the Iranian administration is determined to continue its effective consultations and cooperation with friends and neighbors.
The minister invited his Emirati counterpart to visit Iran.
The UAE’s foreign minister thanked Amir-Abdollahian for establishing close and continuous relations with his country, describing it as a sign of the two sides’ efforts to boost ties.
