Iran’s people are waiting for the repatriation of Iranian financial criminals residing in Canada and the return of the stolen public assets.

The Iranian government’s spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi made the remark in a Sunday tweet in reaction to Canada’s sham humanitarian gesture on Human Rights Day (December 10), IRNA reported.

He added the Canadian government’s sham humanitarian gesture on Human Rights Day fails to be effectual.

“Iran’s people are waiting for the repatriation of the Iranian financial criminals living in Canada and the return of the stolen public assets. Although the end of the ‘embezzlers’ paradise’ play is nothing but this.”

On Saturday, Canada announced that the country’s immigration officials had repatriated an employer of the pre-Islamic Revolution (1979) Iranian intelligence organization, used to be known domestically by the acronym SAVAK, to Iran. They said he had lived illegally in the country for 24 years.

A number of Iranian financial criminals are currently residing in Canada as fugitives.
