The Book Exchange Center of the General Office of the Public Libraries of Kermanshah Province opened in western Iran on Sunday.
The facility at Kermanshah’s Ayatollah Khamenei Library accommodates 7,000 books, according to the general manager of the office, who added that the center aims to enhance the quality of offering books across all public libraries of the country, IRNA reported.
“The center will also contribute to a goal-oriented process of exchanging data resources in libraries,” added Masoumeh Hassani Khounsar.
Currently, there are 108 public libraries, stretched over a total area of 42,180 sq. m, in the western Iranian province, which house more than 1,180,000 books.
Kermanshah Province is home to a resident population of two million – 75 percent of whom live in urban areas.
