The Iranian Health Ministry announced in a statement on Friday that the country’s daily COVID-19 fatalities and cases in the past 24 hours stood at 34 and 1,703, respectively.
The total COVID-19 death toll and cases since the beginning of the outbreak in the country in late February 2020 stand at 131,606 and 6,194,401.
It said 2,694 patients are in critical condition, and 279 new ones have been hospitalized.
According to the statement, 6,037,090 people have so far either recovered from the disease or have been discharged from hospitals, and 41,982,912 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the country.
According to the ministry’s Friday statement, the total number of administered vaccine doses in the country stands at 119,371,507, of which 59,803,722 have been given to people as the first dose, and 51,844,637 as the second dose.
In addition, 7,683,148 people have received their third dose. Between Thursday and Friday, 317,228 doses were administered.
