Turkey to screen eight Iranian films to mark Iran Film Week

Eight Iranian features are set to be screened during the Iran Film Week in Turkey’s largest city of Istanbul.

The eight features will be screened in the Ali Amiri Cultural Center of Istanbul from February 4 to 7.

The movies include ‘Where Are My Shoes?’ by Kiumars Pourahmad, Behrouz Afkhami’s ‘Azar, Shahdokht, Parviz and Others’, ‘Bodyguard’ by Ebrahim Hatamikia and Narges Abyar’s ‘Track 143’.

‘As Simple as That’ and ‘A Cube of Sugar’, both made by Reza Mirkarimi, as well as Maziar Miri’s ‘The Painting Pool’ and ‘Sara and Ayda’ are also among the eight films.

A meeting will be held on February 5, during which the Iranian cinema will be reviewed.

The session will be headed by Turkish director Faysal Soysal and attended by Iranian filmmaker Maziar Miri and Iranian actress Fereshteh Sadr Orafaei.
