Iran’s economic problems, including high prices, will be resolved through reliance on people’s capabilities and efforts, said the first vice president.
Making the remarks in a Wednesday ceremony to inaugurate over 6,500 development projects, Mohammad Mokhber added the ability and art of encouraging people’s participation in resolving the society’s problems was among the distinctive characteristics of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, which is also displayed by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, IRNA reported.
It was the same ability that helped lead to the victory of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, he noted.
At present, the Leader, relying on this unique characteristic, is guiding the Islamic Establishment toward progress and development despite all bids by the global arrogance to impede Iran’s onward movement, Mokhber said.
He added that over the past few months, after taking office in August, the administration of President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi has managed to remove Iran’s problems in an unimaginable extent, despite facing challenges such as the unfavorable situation of the country’s foreign currency reserves, low level of oil exports, daily COVID-19 deaths of between 700 and 800, frozen assets in foreign banks, and slow progress of the nuclear talks in Vienna.
Mokhber gave the assurance that while following Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei, the administration seeks and is doing its best to use Iranians’ capabilities to resolve the economic problems, particularly those impacting the people’s livelihoods, and prove the veracity of the slogan ‘we can’.
He said that thanks to God’s grace, the country’s capacities, as well as the people’s capabilities, great achievements have been made in Iran, noting that there are several solutions for each remaining problem.
The first vice president added that paying attention to the society’s deprived classes was and has always been among the most important goals of Imam Khomeini and the Leader, saying that the Raeisi administration seeks to promote justice in the society, and with regard to the people’s livelihoods.
The government also seeks to help rural areas become the symbols of the country’s progress, production and employment, Mokhber noted, stressing that these areas are required to achieve such a high level of development and productivity that anybody living in major cities and grappling with problems, such as air pollution, high prices and unemployment, would want to migrate to villages.
