Iran’s ‘Dayan’ wins two accolades at US IndieFEST Film Awards

Iranian film ‘Dayan,’ directed by Behrouz Nooranipour won Special Mention and Best Director Award at IndieFEST Film Awards in California, the United States.

‘Dayan’ is Nooranipour’s first feature film after his documentary, ‘A157,’ focusing on the future of the people who live in a village, trying hard for a better future and people who have experienced war, ifilmtv.ir reported.

The film has been screened at a number of global events, including the Chennai International Film Festival in India, the annual Tertio Millennio Film Festival in Italy, and the International Film Festival Love is Folly in Bulgaria. It also won Special Mention at the Singapore International Film Festival.

Established in 2008, the IndieFEST Film Awards is an avant-garde worldwide competition that strives to give talented directors, producers, actors, creative teams, and new media creators the positive exposure they deserve.
