Top commander hails security along Iran-Pakistan border

Speaking to reporters during a visit to the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, he described it as the border of peace and friendship, noting that transportation and trade are underway in the area without any problem, Tasnim News Agency reported.

Baqeri added that the security situation in the border areas in the country’s southeastern region is good and getting better every day.

There is also good security along the border with Afghanistan, he stated, adding that there are minor issues which have been resolved by the two countries’ border guards.

During his visit to Sistan and Baluchestan, Major General Baqeri is accompanied by a number of senior commanders, including Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi and Army Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari.
