Talking to IRNA, Mostafa Mousavi said that Qatar and Oman contribute to Iran’s trade balance with Persian Gulf littoral states, adding, "The development of trade with these countries can increase exports and imports."
He further explained that, "With the development of political ties that took place during the recent visit of Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi to Doha, we can also experience the expansion of economic relations."
Referring to the signing of several memorandums of understanding during Raeisi's visit to Qatar, Mousavi said: "These agreements can have a positive impact on the development of trade and increase Iran's non-oil exports."
Pointing to the establishment of an Iranian business office in Qatar, he stressed: "This is an important event that may provide more detailed planning for Iranian traders."
Food processing industry is very important, especially in the field of agricultural products, he said, adding that exports of petrochemical products are also of significance, which “we can put on the agenda by providing appropriate technology for joint production projects.”
The signing of a memorandum of understanding in the field of cargo with Qatar can connect Iran to the world market.
