The enemy’s bids to “stifle” the thoughts and ideas of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, have all failed, said the Iranian interior minister.
Ahmad Vahidi made the remarks in an address to a Saturday meeting with the members of the taskforce for commemorating Imam Khomeini’s departure anniversary (June 3), IRNA reported.
He added promoting Imam Khomeni’s thoughts is a duty of each and every Iranian as “we are all indebted to him”.
Vahidi said Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has very well elaborated on what is known as Imam Khomeini’s school of thought.
He added Imam Khomeini’s predictions, such as the dissolution of the West and people’s increased inclination toward religion, are coming true one by one.
The minister stressed that this year, the ceremony to mark Imam Khomeini’s passing anniversary is required to be held more gloriously than ever.
Imam Khomeini led Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution to victory and put an end to the tyrannical rule of the U.S.-backed Pahlavi regime.
