The Iranian Foreign Ministry will put its entire capacities at the disposal of the country’s economy and businessmen, said an official.

Mohammad-Javad Hemmat-Panah, the head of the Foreign Ministry’s Economic Information and Development Cooperation Department, made the remark in a visit to Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute (RVSRI) on Sunday, according to a press release obtained by Iran Daily from the institute.

Praising efforts by RVSRI experts to protect the Iranian people’s health, Hemmat-Panah noted that a large number of diseases have been controlled or eradicated thanks to the institute’s products.

Speaking on the sidelines of the same visit, RVSRI President Ali Es’haqi listed the institute’s two main responsibilities as the production of biological products, such as vaccines, and conducting research in the field of veterinary medicine.

He added the institute produces over 80 items, which is the result of studies and activities by its own research and development section.

Es’haqi said RVSRI meets 84 percent of the country’s need for vaccines.
