Porto striker Mehdi Taremi capped off a glorious season in style by scoring twice to help newly-crowned Primeira Liga champion beat Tondela 3-1 at the Taça de Portugal final and complete a domestic double.

The Iranian wrong-footed Babacar Niasse from the spot to open the scoring for the Dragons midway through the first half.

Vitor Ferreira doubled Portos lead seven minutes after the break but Taremi was unfortunate to see his second spot kick hit the woodwork in the 66th minute – seven minutes before Neto Borges pulled one back for Tondela with a sublime header.

It took Taremi just over 60 seconds to restore a two-goal cushion as Porto went on to celebrate a ninth league and cup double in the history of the club, while the prolific striker picked up the Man-of-the-Match Award.
