A top Iranian military commander said news of Israel indicates that the regime is on the verge of a political dissolution, adding that having achieved no success in the region, the United States is thinking of a less humiliating escape.

Making the remarks in an address to a national congress on Tuesday to commemorate 11,000 martyred Iranian nomads, Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami noted that faced with a large number of enemies, no country will be able to remain immune, survive and continue its life with dignity in the absence of its people’s resistance, sacrifices and heroic efforts, Tasnim News Agency reported.

The enemies, he added, sought to stymie Iran’s progress and compromise its independence and make its people depressed and needy, saying they wanted to plunder the material and spiritual wealth of the Islamic Republic and other Muslim states.

Major General Salami added the path has become thorny and lengthy for the enemies and they are being defeated.

As a matter of fact, Iran’s everlasting independence is an achievement of the heroic efforts and sacrifices by the country’s martyrs, particularly, the nomads.

The IRGC chief gave the assurance that “we will survive the difficulties and regain calm”.

He noted that today, the enemies are depressed, weakened and spiritless as they have failed to pursue their objectives in the region and are struggling to find a way out of it in bewilderment and despair.

Major General Salami said they are also wounded and bearing grudges for their numerous defeats, adding the enemies did not believe that Iran would be able to promote the logic of its 1979 Islamic Revolution in the world with empty hands, create these huge symbols of power and line up against them in such a beautiful manner.

The enemies also did not believe that the Iranian nation would be able to emerge victorious with honor and glory from 43 years of a battle waged constantly by the global arrogance, he emphasized.

Major General Salami said, today, the incapable and weak enemies have resorted to seeking assistance from a bunch of traitors, who have taken refuge in their lands and think that they can possess and control the Iranian people’s minds and hearts and separate them from their Islamic Establishment.

These treacherous elements, he added, are the same as the enemies and no one in Iran will listen to them.

“They are the enemies’ accomplices in their bids to provoke us and prevent delivery of medicine to our little boys and girls. [The Iranian] people know that no enemy wishes well for the nation.”

Major General Salami said Iran is becoming more powerful on a daily basis, giving the assurance that the Islamic Republic will soon be among the world’s major powers.

He added a nation that has big enemies will outgrow them, as difficulties make humans stronger.
