Iran’s enemies should know that even their smallest hostile action against the Islamic Republic will receive the harshest punishment, said a senior military commander.

The remark was made by Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Aviation Second Brigadier General Yousef Qorbani in an address to a meeting attended by army commanders in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad on Tuesday, ISNA reported.

He added at present, the Iranian Army’s Aviation, which has the most powerful helicopter unit in the Middle East, plays a very important role in “disrupting enemies’ equations”.

Brigadier General Qorbani highlighted the necessity of explaining and reflecting the realities of the Islamic Republic in view of the enemies’ evil plots, saying such efforts are among the basic requirements of the Iranian society.

The commander warned that any failure to effectively take such measures will lead to dire consequences for the country.

In general, he said, the enemies are afraid of efforts to elaborate on the Islamic Republic’s realities as such moves foil their conspiracies.

On Monday Israel claimed that the regime is building a U.S.-sponsored regional air defense alliance in cooperation with some regional Arab states to foil what he described as “Iran’s attacks”.

In reaction to the claim, the spokesman of the Iranian Armed Forces Abolfazl Shekarchi said such measures are merely out of the Zionist regime’s desperation.

Turning to a February maneuver by Israeli F-15 fighter jets and an American B-52 bomber over the Persian Gulf, Shekarchi described it as a mere show.

The United States is well aware that in case of making any strategic mistake, it will receive irreparable and more dangerous blows from the Islamic Republic, he warned.

The Israel military said in a February statement that Israeli F-15 fighter jets escorted an American B-52 bomber as it made its way to the Persian Gulf.
