The Iranian Armed Forces are monitoring the enemies’ movements and actions on the ground and in the air, said a top general.

Making the remark in an address to reporters in the northwestern province of Kurdestan, Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri expressed satisfaction with the security along the northwestern borders and in the country, describing it as “sustainable and remarkably good”, Tasnim News Agency reported.

The top general noted that thanks to the Armed Forces’ efforts, sustainable security has been ensured in the region.

He added the enemies have, at times, taken very sporadic hostile actions in this area, which were reacted to proportionately by the Armed Forces, as they are monitoring such movements on the ground and in the air.

In remarks on the same day on the sidelines of his visit to a military exhibition in the province, Major General Baqeri noted that despite being a border province, Kurdestan enjoys an acceptable level of sustainable security.

In late June, Major General Baqeri warned of Israel’s interventionist moves, saying the Islamic Republic will give a befitting response to any act of Israeli intervention in the Middle East, according to Press TV.

Baqeri made the remarks in a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart General Nadeem Reza Nishan in Tehran, saying Israel is at the core of all intrusions and destabilizing moves in the region.

He added, “The regime, through the implementation of certain plots, seeks to forge relations with regional countries and achieve its interventionist goals.”
