To present the natural and tourist attractions of Iranian cities and develop the tourism industry, the Iran’s first urban streaming television, named Shahr TV, was launched.

The launch ceremony held at the 3rd Expo of Smart City was attended by Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi and Head of Iran’s Municipalities and Village Administrators Mehdi Jamalinejad, IRNA reported.

At the micro level, the urban streaming Internet TV plans to introduce traits, customs and capabilities of the people of various Iranian cities, and at the macro level, it also lays the groundwork for presenting local businesses, creating jobs, and supporting the cultural and economic development of cities.

“In the world of media today, streaming television is considered an inevitable necessity and a window of opportunity for knowledge-based enterprises and Smart City Networks,” said Saeid Moradi, director of Shahr TV.

Programs of Shahr TV are accessible on its website.
