Iran is making fast progress in the space industry in view of the favorable measures implemented and achievements made in the sector in the country, said the commander of the Aerospace Division of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).
Making the remarks in an address to a number of university students on Saturday, Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh gave the assurance that a bright future awaits the country in the sector, IRNA reported.
He described the space industry’s development as very important and necessary for making progress in other fields.
The commander said today, even the enemies of the Islamic Republic acknowledge Iran’s considerable deterrence power and major powers praise the country’s development of cutting-edge military technologies.
Brigadier General Hajizadeh noted that, at present, four decades after the victory of 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran is stronger than ever in terms of deterrence, having expanded its capabilities in the missile and drone sectors, which prevent the enemies from harboring any stupid idea against the Islamic Republic.
A few days ago, the top commander said Iran will launch a new satellite into orbit by the end of the current Iranian year (March 2023).
It is the third military satellite Iran will put into orbit. The country launched its second satellite, dubbed Nour (Light)-2, into orbit in March 2022, and the first one in April 2020.
