Iran speaker: Anti-Zionist spirit spreading among Muslim nations

The Iranian Parliament speaker condemned the recent deadly airstrikes on the Gaza Strip by the illegitimate Israeli regime, saying that the anti-Zionist spirit is being promulgated among Muslim nations.

Making the remarks in a message on Sunday, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf warned the ignorant enemies and occupiers of Palestine that they will burn in the fire of the attacks by the resistance front’s fighters, IRNA reported.

He added that having been repeatedly defeated by the Muslim world’s resistance front and found itself incapable of confronting it, the illegitimate, inhumane and child-killing Zionist regime, backed by the United States and other anti-human rights governments, has committed a new crime through attacking the Gaza Strip and assassinating the commanders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement, once again, to demonstrate its own brutal, criminal and aggressive nature and that of its supporters to the entire world.

Qalibaf stressed that the oppressed people of Palestine and the Muslim world will, undoubtedly, through relying on full unity among all Palestinian groups, give a decisive and reciprocal response to the shameless crimes perpetrated by the Israeli regime during the mourning month of Muharram, when Shia Muslims mark the ‎martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (PBUH) – the third Shia Imam, that led to the martyrdom of a number of defenseless people, giving the assurance that another defeat is awaiting the Zionist regime and its supporters.

Qalibaf said through years of resistance, the oppressed people of Palestine have proved that they will never surrender to such actions by the global arrogance and the occupying Zionist regime, stressing that the delusional plans pursued by some regional states to compromise and normalize ties with Israel will not guarantee the regime’s security.

On Friday, the Israeli regime launched airstrikes targeting residential areas in Gaza City, killing dozens of people, including Taysir al-Jabari, a senior commander of the Palestinian resistance movement of Islamic Jihad, and fifteen children.

The Israeli strikes prompted the Al-Quds Brigades, the Islamic Jihad’s military wing, to respond by firing hundreds of rockets toward the occupied territories, forcing Tel Aviv to seek out a cease-fire in order to stop the retaliatory attacks.
