IME weekly trade tops $765m

The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) announced that over 3.02 million tons of commodities worth over $765 million were traded in its domestic trading and export halls in the week closing on September 23.

A total of 2.75 million tons of various products, worth about $608 million, were traded at IME’s domestic and export metal and mineral trading hall, reported.

Among the traded products were 725,274 tons of steel, 836,000 tons of iron ore, 140,000 tons of sponge iron, 21,835 tons of zinc, 11,775 tons of aluminum ingots, 6,500 tons of copper, 190 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 40kg of gold and 1.02 million tons of cement.

In addition, 245,323 tons of various commodities, valued at about $147 million, were traded at IME’s domestic and export oil and petrochemical trading halls.

Other traded items were 92,606 tons of polymeric products, 33,280 tons of vacuum bottom, 19,000 tons of lube cut, 26,996 tons of chemical products, 8,400 tons of sulfur, 5,406 tons of base oil, 240 tons of insulation and 65,058 tons of bitumen.
