Iran’s Sharif University of Technology announced that all of its students who had been arrested on the university’s campus during the recent unrest in the country have been released.
In a statement on its website on Saturday, the university said the students were granted release given the follow-ups by its officials, according to IRNA.
The statement added that efforts are underway for the release of a few of the university’s students who had been arrested during the unrest off campus.
Protests erupted across Iran over the death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian woman who fainted at a police station and was pronounced dead at a Tehran hospital a few days later on September 16.
