Tehran offers more cooperation to Kabul

Iran is ready to increase cooperation and promote exchange of experiences in different fields with other developing countries, particularly neighboring states, including Afghanistan.

In a meeting with Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Afghanistan Mohammad Mohaqiq in Tehran, Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Minister Ali Rabiei said Iran’s general policy is to help Afghanistan maintain peace and stability, IRNA Reported.

“We support the formation of the national unity government in Afghanistan,” he said.

Rabiei hoped that with the introduction of Afghanistan’s new cabinet, the country will establish a stable government.

“Iran desires Afghanistan to be powerful, developed and prosperous. We are ready to cooperate with the Afghan government and people in this regard,” he said.

Mohaqiq also called on Iran to boost collaboration and transfer its expertise, particularly in holding technical and skill training courses, empowering disabled people, implementing drug rehabilitation program, providing social security and setting up insurance funds.

The two sides also called for organizing illegal Afghan laborers in Iran and decided to sign a joint MoU in this regard.
