Following the uneventful death of the president of the United Arab Emirates, his half-brother and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed succeeded him as the new president. Demonstrators in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul denounced actions aimed at driving a wedge between the Iranian and Afghan nations, calling for unity between the two neighbors in the face of conspiracies to poison their friendly relations.
