Jajim enjoys an important place in Iran's weaving heritage
Rugs and carpets are an important part of Iran’s culture. Jajim is a type of handmade textile woven from cotton or wool and is easily identified by their vertical stripe patterns. The history of this art is unfortunately unknown, though it is believed that some of the antique textiles illustrated Persian paintings in 14th century may have been jajims, reported.
