IRGC dismantles counterrevolutionary group in NW Iran
Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) forces managed to identify and dismantle a hostile counterrevolutionary group in the country's northwestern province of East Azarbaijan.

The IRGC Intelligence Organization reported on Saturday that the group, dubbed Hoboot Iran (Fall of Iran), has been seeking to bring together various anti-Iran movements against the Islamic Establishment since early 2018, according to Press TV.

It said the group was masterminded by foreign-based monarchists and funded by certain Western countries and Saudi Arabia.

According to the report, members of the counterrevolutionary group disguised themselves as members of Iranian Armed Forces and recorded videos in which they claimed to be defectors and read out statements instigating people to take to the streets in protest.

However, forces of the IRGC Intelligence Organization successfully identified and arrested them and delivered them a coup de grace.

Explaining about his measures to deceive people, one of the members of the group said he had been active in social networks, including Instagram, and posted videos in the Armed Forcesuniforms and pretended that the Armed Forces are not happy with the performance of the Islamic Establishment.

He admitted that he, then, got in touch with foreign-based monarchists and continued his activities.

The IRGC Ground Forces Quds Base announced in a statement released on April 24 that its forces had destroyed a team of terrorists in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.

It added that the terrorist team had entered the region to carry out acts of terror and was dismantled earlier in the day during intelligence operations, noting that three members of the team were killed during the clashes.
